Atomic 4 - Bronze & Black - San Pedro, CA

This Atomic 4 was brought to DYS for a rebuild after a delivery skipper ran it to hard. The engine and reduction gear drive train were completely torn down by DYS, and re-manufactured, then bench tested. The Video shows it running on the test wagon.

Atomic 4 - Bronze - Catalina 30 - Long Beach, CA

This Atomic 4 Reduction Gear Engine was rebuilt by DYS after the engine froze, because of salt water getting inside. The middle two pistons were both stuck to the cylinder walls, and had to be forcibly removed from the block,and replaced. The entire engine and drive units were rebuilt. This video shows the engine before & during the test run.

Atomic 4 - Maui Blue & Sand - Tartan 30 - Long Beach, CA

This used Atomic 4 was re-manufactured by DYS to replace the engine in a Tartan 30 sailboat. DYS removed the old Tartan’s engine, and installed this one in its place. The Video shows it prior to startup, with some suggestions for owners, and while running.

This engine came to DYS when the owner said it was running roughly. Upon testing, it was discovered there was no # 2 piston. It had come loose from the crankshaft, and been destroyed by the running engine. DYS completely dis-assembled the engine and rebuilt it with all 4 pistons. The video shows the engine’s test run, prior to installation.

Atomic 4 V Drive - White & Blue - Pearson 32 - Long Beah, CA

This Atomic 4 came to DYS in barely running condition, for a full rebuild. The block, transmission, and V Drive were dis-assembled, cleaned, painted, and re-manufactured. The Video shows the completed engine on the bench, while test running it, prior to delivering it to the owner. This video shows the rebuilt engine before and during the test run.
